Anti-wrinkle injections don't do anything for the first few days, and nobody remembers being told that. So on day three the client looks in the mirror, sees nothing, and messages you convinced they've wasted their money. This sheet sets the timeline in writing before they leave — onset from day three to five, full result at ten to fourteen days — alongside everything else they'll forget on the way to the car.

What's on it

• What to do: the four hours upright, no rubbing or massaging the area for 24 hours, no strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms or hot yoga for a day, no alcohol, and no facials, peels, laser or needling for two weeks.
• What is normal: small raised bumps that settle within the hour, redness and tenderness, bruising that can take a fortnight to fade, a mild headache in the first day or two, and the gradual onset that stops the panic.
• When to contact you straight away: a clearly marked panel covering difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, eyelid droop affecting vision, muscle weakness away from the treated area, infection, and allergic reaction. It also states plainly that these symptoms can appear anywhere from a few hours to several weeks after treatment, not just on the day — which is the part most aftercare sheets leave out.
